Workplace habits are secretly impacting posture and breathing.

Eight hours of sitting compresses the spine, tightens the hips, and trains the body to breathe shallowly. Over time, this accumulates into low energy, poor focus, and chronic tension that follows employees home.

The good news is that these patterns are reversible. With the right tools, the body settles, focus returns, and performance follows.

Forward head posture

Every centimeter the head moves forward adds compressive load on the cervical spine. Sustained screen use locks this pattern in place.

Thoracic compression

Sustained sitting collapses the mid-back, reducing breathing capacity and creating cascading tension through the shoulders and neck.

Shallow chest breathing

The most common pattern in desk environments. It narrows cognitive focus and raises baseline tension systemically.

Hip flexor shortening

Hours of sustained hip flexion shorten the anterior chain, tilting the pelvis and altering how load transfers through the body.

Ali Ziaei is the founder of the Move Wise Method and a former high-level athlete who spent years navigating injuries and chronic pain that traditional fitness models could not resolve.


That experience sent him deep into biomechanics, breathwork, somatics, and corrective exercise. What he found at the intersection of those disciplines became the foundation of Move Wise: true strength comes from alignment, between body, breath, and awareness.


Over a decade and hundreds of clients later, Ali has built a method designed to address the real, everyday physical issues that accumulate from how modern people live and work. Move Wise restores balance, resilience, and freedom of movement, so the body becomes a source of support rather than a source of strain.
